Blend photos, colors, and textures to create a deeply personal portrait that tells a story beyond words.
No experience needed … just bring your memories and an open heart.

Workshop Flow
Introduction & Presentation (30 min)
• How art can hold memory and emotion.
• Collage ideas showing different levels of abstraction.
Sketch & Composition (30 min)
• Use printed photos, or lightly outline a face or symbolic shape — it doesn’t have to be realistic.
• Discuss composition: where to place the main photo, textures, or colors.
Collage Layering (30 min)
• Start gluing papers, photos, and textures to create the emotional base.
• Encourage intuitive layering — overlapping fragments to reflect depth and memory.
• Add meaningful written words or symbols within the layers.
Painting & Detailing (30 min)
• Use diluted acrylics or watercolor washes to unify the collage.
• Highlight areas with lines, contours, or abstract marks around the face — blending memory with imagination.
We encourage you to send a photo of your beloved one in advance so it can be printed for the session, or bring it with you (you can choose to draw or collage the original image).
