📰 On October 14, 2026, OCAC News (僑新聞), the news site of Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council, reported on the 22nd online teacher training of the Federation of Chinese Schools in Germany, organised by Jade Mountain Chinese School in Hungary.
Highlights from the report
- Following the online training in 2025, the Federation has expanded this year’s program to six online sessions starting October 11. Jade Mountain Chinese School in Hungary is organising the series, and about 50 Mandarin teachers are taking part.
- Taiwan’s representative to Germany, a secretary of the Taipei Representative Office in Hungary and the overseas community affairs counsellor in Frankfurt gave opening remarks. The representative encouraged teachers across Europe and offered them a few words of wisdom: go easy on yourself, go easy on others, and look after your health.
- After an opening by the Federation’s new president, the first session was given by Shih Ling-tzu (施令慈), a teacher at the Digital Learning Center of Fung Hsing Academy in New Zealand and the Chinese Language Center of Chaoyang University of Technology in Taiwan. Under the motto “learning through play”, she presented everyday Mandarin materials and classroom examples that bring games, songs and storytelling into lessons.
